Wezepsche heide | Wezep | ± 12 min drive
Extensive heath and forest area where a.o. Scottish highlanders, wild boars, red deer, roe deer, foxes and badgers live. Especially for children there is “the Earthlings Route: in search of Koos and Toos”: a short experience route with play elements and assignments along the way.

Sand drift De Haere | Doornspijk | ± 15 min drive
Drifting sand area with open sandy plains, heathland and pieces of forest. Free walking on sandy paths and through the surrounding nature reserve.

Wooded estate with avenues, heathland and open areas. On the site is the Assenradepad KIDS: a children’s clog path with play elements especially for children.

A.Vogel gardens & Zwaluwenburg Estate | ‘t Harde | ± 10 min drive
Gardens on Landgoed Zwaluwenburg with all kinds of plants, herbs and flowers and a barefoot path. At the visitor center there is a shop with natural products and you can go for a cup of coffee. On the estate you can also walk through forest and lanes.
Tip: for lunch you can go to De Zwaluw koffie & zo.
Eperweg 5, ‘t Harde.
Visitor Centre Nunspeet | Nunspeet | ± 20 min drive
Visitor center with exhibition about the Veluwe. There are children’s activities such as gnome trail and geocaching routes. During (school) holidays there are extra activities, such as fluffing owl balls. Several routes start from the site and you can rent bicycles.
Nearby is pancake restaurant De Boskabouter.

Sand pit de Leemcule| Hattem | ± 15 min drive

Clog paths | North Veluwe | ± 5–20 mins drive
There are several clog paths in the area: marked walking routes through farmland, over estates and along historic yards. The routes are well signposted and start at fixed parking points, including Wiseperpad (Wezep), Zwaluwenburgpad (‘t Harde), Oldebroekerpad (Oldebroek), Vreepad (‘t Loo), IJsselvliedtpad (Wezep) and Hanzenpad (Hattem).

Beach on the Veluwemeer with shallow and deeper swimming water and plenty of space along the waterline. At the beach is Strandpaviljoen Bremerbaai for food and drinks.

There are several working mills in the area that can be visited on fixed days, including Molen De Hoop (Oldebroek), Molen De Tijd (Elburg), Molen De Fortuin (Hattem) and Molen De Duif (Nunspeet). There is catering at or near the mills, so a visit can be easily combined with coffee or lunch. Opening hours vary per mill.
